Elbow 90° female thread Steel - 35 Rp1" 1509068002
Construction and design
The 90° elbow with female thread in size 35 Rp1" is a pressed steel fitting designed to change the direction of a pipe by 90 degrees. One connection is a clamping sleeve with a nominal diameter of 35 mm, allowing connection to a KAN-therm Steel system pipe. The other connection is a tapered internal thread BSPT-Rc in size 1 inch - a standard gas thread used in water, heating, and industrial installations.
The fitting is made of hot-dip galvanized steel (Fe/Zn88 coating with a thickness of 8-15 µm). This anti-corrosion layer ensures the durability of the connection even in humid environments. The seal is an O-ring, which guarantees tightness after crimping.
The LBP (Leak Before Press) function is an important feature of this product - during installation, before crimping, any potential medium leakage will be detected, allowing installation errors and costly repairs to be avoided.

Application and system compatibility
The fitting belongs to the KAN-therm Steel system, which includes steel pipes with diameters from 12 to 108 mm and a wide range of fittings and valves. The system is intended for:
- indoor water installations (cold and hot water),
- central heating installations,
- refrigeration and air conditioning installations,
- industrial pipe networks.
The elbow is used wherever the pipe route requires a sharp 90° turn and it is necessary to connect to a threaded component - e.g., a valve, pump, boiler, or manifold.
For proper execution of the pressed connection, a crimper with appropriate M or HP profile jaws (for diameters up to 54 mm) is required. The manufacturer recommends using tools dedicated to the KAN-therm Steel system.
Operating conditions and durability
The maximum working pressure in the KAN-therm Steel system is:
- up to 25 bar - for diameters 12-54 mm using HP profile jaws (water installations only),
- up to 16 bar - for the entire range of diameters using M profile jaws.
The Fe/Zn88 galvanized coating protects the element from corrosion under typical indoor operating conditions. The O-ring seal is made of a material resistant to water and standard agents used in heating installations - details regarding the type of elastomer can be found in the KAN-therm Steel system specification.
The product is supplied in a bulk package containing 5 pieces.
