Steel fitting with gas thread and crimping

Crimped steel fitting designed for connections in gas and heating installations. One side features a crimping sleeve for a 12 mm diameter pipe (DN 10), while the other side has a tapered internal thread BSPT-Rc (1/2 inch), compliant with ISO 7-1 and EN 10226-1.

All components are made of galvanized steel (Fe/Zn88) with a zinc coating thickness of 8–15 µm, ensuring corrosion resistance in humid and aggressive environments. The O-ring seal is made of EPDM — a material resistant to temperatures, UV radiation, and most chemicals used in installations.

The controlled leak function LBP acts as an additional safety layer: if the connection is not properly crimped, a small amount of medium may escape through a specially designed channel — signaling a mounting error without causing a sudden leak.

The overall length is 39 mm, and the crimped section length is 20.3 mm. Installation requires a specialized crimping tool adapted for a 12 mm pipe diameter. The thread height is 18.7 mm — sufficient for secure tightening on standard valves and gas connections.

Why does it work?

For the installer: no welding, flanges, or glue required. Installation is fast, clean, and does not require opening the system. The LBP function eliminates the risk of undetected errors — simply, you can see if something went wrong.

For the end user: the connection is durable, requires no maintenance, and does not age like rubber seals in traditional threaded joints. With proper installation, leaks are impossible, ensuring safety against explosions or energy loss.

The fitting is compatible with multilayer PERT/AL/PERT pipes and other crimpable types with a 12 mm diameter. It is not suitable for copper or plastic pipes without an appropriate crimpable coating.
