Reduction between pipes of different diameters, without the need to change material

The fitting is made of stainless steel 316L (1.4404), both in the compression sleeve part and the push-fit end — this is not only a matter of corrosion resistance but also a guarantee of material consistency throughout the connection. There are no composites or coatings here; the entire element is homogeneous, which eliminates the risk of electrochemical corrosion when connecting different metals.

The connection on one side is a compression sleeve (DN15, Ø18 mm), and on the other — a push-fit end (DN40, Ø42 mm). Both connection types operate on the same principle: crimping using a specialized tool. No threading, welding, or additional gaskets are required — just the appropriate crimping set.

The seal between the pipe and the fitting is made of EPDM — an elastomer with high resistance to temperatures, water, and chemicals. It functions like an O-ring but is integrated and does not require separate installation. In the event of improper crimping or pipe damage, the design features a Leak Before Break (LBP) function — meaning it prevents sudden leaks and allows for controlled water discharge to a location where it can be detected and remedied.

The total length of the reduction is 87 mm — sufficient to ensure stability during installation in tight spaces. The crimpable section length is 31.5 mm on the DN15 side and 55 mm on the DN40 side — this means the tool must have an appropriate crimping depth range. This cannot be done "by eye".

There are no threads here. There are no screws here. This is a mechanical connection — crimped. It works just as well in hot water installations as in cooling systems or hydronic systems.

Installation requires only one tool — and one movement. But that movement must be performed correctly.
