The ultraPRESS PPSU reducing tee is an advanced hydraulic fitting designed for modern domestic hot water and central heating installations. The product utilizes an innovative press-fit system with the LBP controlled leak function, guaranteeing the highest level of safety and connection reliability.

Construction and materials

The tee body is made of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) - a material with exceptional mechanical and chemical resistance, ideal for demanding heating and water installation conditions. The 90° angle ensures optimal medium flow guidance, minimizing hydraulic losses.

Connections are realized via compression sleeves, which work with stainless steel press rings. Each connection features an EPDM O-ring seal, guaranteeing long-term tightness across a wide range of operating temperatures.

The design includes a diameter identification ring in a color characteristic of the KAN-therm system, which significantly facilitates element identification during assembly and in the warehouse. The reducing design allows for the connection of pipes with diameters of 32 mm and 16 mm in a single element, eliminating the need for additional adapters.

Application and compatibility

The component is dedicated to professional water and heating installations where flow branching at different pipe diameters is required. It is particularly effective in distribution systems, enabling efficient medium distribution to different building zones.

Compatibility includes homogeneous PE-Xc and PE-RT pipes as well as multilayer PE-RT/Al/PE-RT pipes, making it a universal solution for various types of installations. The PPSU material provides resistance to electrochemical corrosion and the action of aggressive chemical agents present in heating installations.

The ultraPRESS system is fully compatible with the existing KAN-therm Press system, retaining the same catalog numbers while maintaining the new color scheme of elements made from light PPSU.

Installation and safety functions

Installation is carried out using the "press" compression method with specialized tools, eliminating the need for adhesives, threading, or pipe edge chamfering. Precise positioning of the press jaws on the ring guarantees repeatable connection quality.

The LBP (Leak Before Press) function is a key safety element - an accidentally unpressed connection is signaled by a leak during the non-pressurized filling of the installation, even before the pressure test. This solution complies with DVGW recommendations regarding controlled leakage.

The system allows for the interchangeable use of "U" or "TH" profile press jaws, adapting to installation preferences and conditions. The special design eliminates the risk of contact corrosion when using pipes with aluminum inserts thanks to plastic spacer rings.

The ability to conceal connections within building partitions eliminates the need to leave service access, which simplifies installation design and improves room aesthetics.
