Universal connection in the installation – PPSU ultraPRESS reducing tee
This KAN-therm ultraPRESS reducing tee, made of polyphenylene sulfone (PPSU), is a reliable solution for connecting pipes of different diameters in water supply, heating and industrial systems. Its design allows for reduction from 32 mm to 32 mm and 20 mm, providing flexibility in designing and modifying installations. PPSU is a material characterized by high temperature and corrosion resistance, which guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation.
Solid construction and LBP technology
The tee is designed for crimping with multilayer and homogeneous polyethylene pipes. It is equipped with a stainless steel clamping ring, ensuring a durable and tight connection. Importantly, the fitting has a Leak Before Press (LBP) controlled leakage function, which allows detecting an improperly crimped connection even before the installation is put into use – this is an additional protection against potential problems. The diameter identifying ring facilitates quick identification during assembly. The EPDM O-ring seal further increases the tightness and reliability of the connection.
Compatibility and application
This tee is compatible with the KAN-therm Press system, which is widely used in installations:
- Water supply (hot and cold domestic water)
- Central heating
- Cooling
- Technological heat
- Industrial (e.g. compressed air)
Appropriate crimping jaws – “U” or “TH” profile – are required for installation, depending on the fitting diameter. Thanks to this, both professional installers and end-users can be sure of the solidity and safety of the installation. It is important to select the correct crimping jaw profile to ensure optimal connection quality.
