Reducing tee for ultraPRESS systems – a compromise-free connection
This reducing tee from the ultraPRESS series is an element designed for creating branches in water and heating installations. Made of high-quality polyphenylene sulfone (PPSU), it provides durability and corrosion resistance, which translates to a long service life of the entire installation. Its construction allows connecting pipes of different diameters – in this case 40 mm, 26 mm and 40 mm – which gives flexibility during design and assembly.
Functionality and application
This tee is dedicated to pressing homogeneous and multilayer pipes, guaranteeing a tight and reliable connection. It uses crimp sleeves, ensuring quick and easy installation. A 90° angle facilitates running the installation in tight spaces. Thanks to the use of a stainless steel crimping ring, the connection is exceptionally resistant to mechanical damage.
- Versatility: Possibility of connecting pipes of different diameters in one element.
- Tightness: The use of an EPDM O-ring seal and the LBP controlled leakage function minimize the risk of leaks.
- Durability: PPSU material is characterized by high chemical and thermal resistance, ensuring long-term use.
- Easy installation: The pressing system speeds up installation work and eliminates the need for welding or gluing.
- Quality control: The diameter identification ring facilitates the correct selection of pressing tools.
Construction and special features
The ultraPRESS tee is distinguished by the use of U and TH clamping profiles, which, combined with the LBP (Leak Before Press) function, provides additional safety. LBP allows detecting an incorrectly made connection even before commissioning the installation – in the event of incomplete crimping, a small leak appears, signaling the need for correction. This solution minimizes the risk of failures and costly repairs in the future. In addition, the PPSU material is resistant to high temperatures and pressures, making it an ideal choice for domestic hot water installations and central heating systems.
