Reducing tee for water and heating installations

This PPSU ultraPRESS reducing tee is a reliable solution for connecting pipes in KAN-therm systems. It allows changing the diameter in the installation, connecting pipes with diameters of 25 mm, 20 mm, and 20 mm. Made of high-quality polyphenylene sulfone (PPSU), it ensures durability and corrosion resistance, which is crucial in demanding operating conditions.

Design and application

The tee is designed for crimping with both homogeneous pipes (e.g., PEX, PERT) and multilayer pipes (e.g., PEX-AL-PEX). Its design allows the use of both "U" and "TH" profile crimping jaws, increasing flexibility during installation. This means that one tee fits most KAN-therm crimping tools available on the market. This saves time and costs for the installer.

Using a reducing tee allows for effective adaptation of the installation to specific needs, e.g., when connecting devices with different connection diameters or when changing the pipe diameter to optimize flow.

LBP function and installation safety

The fitting is equipped with the LBP (Leak Before Press) controlled leak function, which ensures immediate detection of an incorrectly crimped connection. If the crimp is not complete, a leak will occur before pressure is applied to the installation, allowing for quick identification and repair of the error – this increases the safety of the entire installation and minimizes the risk of failure. Additionally, the stainless steel crimping sleeve guarantees long-term connection tightness. The EPDM O-ring seal provides additional protection against leaks.
