PPSU ultraPRESS reducing tee - 32/20/26 1009257021
Reducing tee for KAN-therm ultraPRESS systems
This reducing tee, made of durable polyphenylene sulfone (PPSU), is a key element of KAN-therm ultraPRESS systems. It is used to connect pipes of different diameters – in this case 32 mm, 20 mm and 26 mm – in water supply, heating and compressed air installations.
Its construction allows for the creation of durable and leak-proof press connections, both with multilayer and homogeneous pipes.
Design and application
This tee is characterized by a bending angle of 90 degrees, which facilitates the routing of installations in tight spaces. Made of PPSU, it is resistant to corrosion and high temperatures, guaranteeing long-term reliability even in difficult operating conditions. The use of an EPDM O-ring seal further increases the tightness of the connection. It is worth mentioning the stainless steel clamping ring – it is responsible for the solid and secure connection of the pipes during pressing.
LBP function and compatibility
The fitting has a controlled leakage function LBP (Leak Before Press), which allows to detect an incorrectly made connection even before the installation is put into use. This is an important convenience for installers, allowing to avoid potential problems in the future. Appropriate crimping jaws – profile “U” or “TH” – are required for mounting this tee (for a diameter of 26mm profile “C” or “TH”). The choice of the correct jaw profile depends on the diameter of the pipes used and the specifications of the KAN-therm ultraPRESS LBP fittings.
