Brass elbow for press systems

The 90° brass elbow GW ultraPRESS with a diameter of 25 x 3/4 inch is a reliable and easy-to-install solution dedicated to creating durable connections in plumbing, heating and industrial installations. It is an element of the KAN-therm ultraPRESS system, which is compatible with the previous generation KAN-therm Press, maintaining the same catalog numbers and prices. The change concerns only the color of the fittings – now they are made of light PPSU, which makes them easier to identify.

Construction and application

This elbow is designed for press connections with multilayer and homogeneous pipes. It has a tapered BSPT-R (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) external gas thread and a clamping sleeve. Its construction is based on a proven "press" clamping technology using a steel crimping ring, which ensures the tightness and durability of the connection. It can be used in both hot and cold domestic water installations, as well as central heating, cooling or industrial installations (e.g. compressed air).

LBP function and benefits for the installer

A key feature of this elbow is the controlled leakage function LBP (Leak Before Press). This means that any unpressed connection will be immediately signaled by a water leak during filling of the installation – even before the pressure test is carried out. This is an important convenience for the installer, allowing for quick detection of errors and avoiding potential problems in the future. In addition, the color-coded identification rings facilitate quick identification of the pipe diameter, and the versatility of the fitting allows it to work with multilayer PE-RT/Al/PE-RT and homogeneous PE-Xc and PE-RT pipes. The possibility of using crimping jaws with a "U" or "TH" profile (depending on the diameter) increases flexibility during installation.
