Brass elbow for KAN-therm ultraPRESS press systems

This is a 90° elbow with an external thread, made of brass (CW617N), designed to create durable and leak-proof connections in water and heating installations. It is an element of the KAN-therm ultraPRESS system, which is characterized by reliability and ease of installation. The elbow is compatible with multilayer and homogeneous pipes, providing great freedom in installation design.

Application and functionality

The elbow is used to change the direction of the pipeline by 90 degrees. The external BSPT-R thread (3/4 inch) allows connection to other installation elements with an internal thread. It is used in both domestic water installations (hot and cold), central heating, as well as cooling or process heat systems. Thanks to the use of the LBP (Leak Before Press) controlled leakage function, it is possible to detect an incorrectly made press connection even before the installation is put into use – this is important for safety and avoiding problems in the future.

Construction and characteristic features

The elbow is designed for durability and reliability. Made of high-quality brass, it is resistant to corrosion and external factors. The stainless steel crimping ring ensures a leak-proof connection, and the C and TH clamping profiles guarantee a secure seating of the pipe in the fitting. Additionally, the presence of an EPDM O-ring increases resistance to mechanical damage and ensures long-term tightness. The nominal diameter of the connection is 3/4 inch (20 mm). It is worth noting the presence of a ring identifying the diameter – it facilitates quick identification of the fitting size during installation.
