Brass connector male thread ultraPRESS - 32 R1 1/4" 1009045016
Brass fitting for KAN-therm ultraPRESS and Press systems
This brass fitting, with a male thread (GZ) of 32 mm (1 1/4 inch), is a key component of the KAN-therm ultraPRESS and Press systems. It is used to connect multilayer and single-material pipes, providing a reliable and leak-proof connection in water supply, heating, and cooling installations. Made of high-quality brass (CW617N), it guarantees durability and corrosion resistance.
The fitting has a metric external thread and a compression sleeve, allowing for versatile use in various installation configurations. It is fully compatible with the previous generation of the KAN-therm Press system, maintaining the same catalog numbers and prices. The change only concerns the color of the fittings – the new ultraPRESS version is distinguished by a light PPSU shade.
Functionality and safety
The fitting is equipped with a controlled leakage function LBP (Leak Before Press), which complies with DVGW recommendations. This means that any unpressed connection will be immediately detected when filling the installation with water – before the pressure test is carried out. This is an important safeguard against potential failures and costly repairs. Additionally, the presence of an identification ring facilitates quick identification of the pipe diameter during installation.
- LBP function: indicates unpressed connections by water leakage.
- Identification ring: facilitates recognition of the pipe diameter, speeding up the installer's work.
- Versatility: can be used with multilayer PE-RT/Al/PE-RT and single-material PE-Xc and PE-RT pipes.
- Durability: brass construction provides resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage.
- Compatibility: fully interchangeable with the KAN-therm Press system.
Installation and application
The fitting is installed using the "press" crimping technique with crimping jaws with a "U" or "TH" profile. This does not require additional beveling of the pipe edge, which significantly speeds up the installation process. The fitting is perfect for both new installations and for modernizing existing heating and plumbing systems. The ability to hide connections in building partitions increases the aesthetic finish of the installation.
