Slip coupling Steel - 12 1509080001
Sliding Coupling Made of Galvanized Steel with LBP Function
Designed for use in press-fit systems, the Steel sliding coupling (1509080001) is constructed from Fe/Zn88 galvanized steel with a zinc coating thickness of 8–15 µm. This construction provides excellent corrosion resistance, making it particularly suitable for water supply and heating installations where conditions are aggressive but do not require operation at temperatures exceeding 60°C.
It features a built-in O-ring seal made of FPM/Viton material, ensuring leak-tightness without the need for additional clamping force or special tools. The Controlled Leak-Before-Press (LBP) function allows detection of minor leaks before they develop further, giving the installer time to react and preventing unexpected failures for the end user.
Installation is simple: the sliding coupling enables pipe joining without the need for precise cutting—simply insert the pipes into the coupling and press-fit. No threading, welding, or additional fastening elements are required. It is ideal for repairs, modernizations, or situations where access to the entire pipeline section is difficult.
Please note: FPM/Viton seals are not intended for domestic hot water installations. They are approved only for cooling circuits, cold water systems, and heating circuits with temperatures up to 60°C.
It operates within a diameter range of 12 to 108 mm—this coupling (12 mm) is part of the comprehensive KAN-therm Steel system, which includes all components necessary for building durable, metallic piping networks.
