PP-R Loop Compensation – a reliable solution for installations

The PP-R loop compensation with a diameter of 25 mm is an element of the KAN-therm PP system, designed for cold water, hot water and central heating installations. Made of random polypropylene copolymer, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance. Its task is to absorb linear expansion of pipelines caused by temperature changes, which prevents stress and damage to the installation.

This element is particularly important in installations with a large length or complex geometry, where natural expansion and contraction of the pipes can lead to serious problems. Loop compensation allows the pipes to move freely, minimizing the risk of failure and extending the life of the entire installation.

Construction and application

The compensator has simple connections – two plastic sleeves designed for polyfusion welding/joining. This makes installation quick, easy and ensures a tight connection. The product meets the PN‑EN 15874 standard and has CSTB, ITB, Lloyds and PZH certificates, which confirms its high quality and safety of use. It can be used in installations with a maximum temperature of 90°C and a pressure of up to 6 bar (central heating), 10 bar (hot water) and 20 bar (cold water).

The PP-R loop compensation is ideal for use in individual and multi-family construction, as well as in public utility buildings. Its design allows for compensation of expansions up to 60 mm, making it indispensable in the event of large temperature differences. The linear thermal expansion coefficient is 0.15 mm/mxK, and the thermal conductivity λ - 0.24 W/mxK. The minimum bending radius Rmin is 8.0 Dz mm and the internal wall roughness k is 0.007mm.
