Multilayer PEXc UltraLine Pipe – Reliability and Versatility of Installation

The PEXc UltraLine pipe is an advanced solution for building water supply, heating, and cooling installations. Made of radiation cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xc) in a 5-layer technology, with an additional EVOH anti-diffusion layer, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation. The pipe is available in a cream color, which facilitates identification in the installation.

Construction and Properties

The PEXc UltraLine pipe is characterized by high flexibility, which makes installation easier even in complex systems. The EVOH layer effectively limits oxygen diffusion to the flowing medium, protecting installation components from corrosion. Electron beam crosslinking ensures dimensional stability and resistance to high temperatures (up to 90°C) and working pressure (10 bar). Low internal wall roughness (k=0.007mm) minimizes pressure loss and ensures optimal medium flow. The coefficient of thermal expansion α of 0.178 mm/mxK and thermal conductivity λ of 0.35 W/mxK affect the thermal stability of the installation. The minimum bending radius of the pipe is 5 times its outer diameter, allowing for precise adaptation to project needs.
