PPR stabiGLASS SDR7.4 PN16 pipe - 40x5.5, 4m length 1229204005
Glass fiber reinforced polypropylene pipe for water and heating installations
This PPR stabiGLASS SDR7.4 PN16 pipe is a solid solution for building water and heating installations. Made of random polypropylene (PP-R) with the addition of glass fiber, it provides dimensional stability and durable connections. This is particularly important in central heating systems where temperature changes occur. The pipe is designed for transporting cold water, hot water and heating medium, offering a wide range of applications in residential and commercial construction.
Construction and properties
The stabiGLASS pipe is characterized by a low linear expansion coefficient, which minimizes the impact of temperature changes on its dimensions. This ensures that the installation remains stable and safe to use. Glass fiber stabilization eliminates the need to scrape the pipe before fusion welding – this significantly speeds up installation and reduces labor costs. Compared to aluminum-stabilized pipes, the lack of a need for scraping is a major advantage for installers. The pipe is characterized by high resistance to corrosion and chemicals, which guarantees a long service life of the system. Thermal conductivity λ at 0.24 W/mxK and linear thermal expansion coefficient α of 0.03 mm/mxK affect the energy efficiency of the installation. The internal wall roughness k at 0.007 mm ensures smooth flow of the medium.
Application and advantages
The stabiGLASS SDR7.4 PN16 pipe is ideal for:
- Cold water installations under pressure up to 20 bar
- Hot water installations under pressure up to 10 bar
- Central heating installations under pressure up to 6 bar
- Underfloor heating systems
- Installations in fusion-welded systems
- Both surface-mounted and recessed installations (thanks to dimensional stability)
Benefits for the installer:
- Fast installation thanks to the lack of need to scrape the pipe before welding.
- Easy processing and fusion welding.
- Versatility – can be used in various types of installations.
- Availability of CSTB, ITB, Lloyds, PZH, ZiK certificates – confirmation of product quality and safety.
Benefits for the user:
- Durability and reliability of the heating and water system for years (10-year warranty for individual construction - 15 years).
- Resistance to corrosion and deposits – clean water and efficient heating.
- Safe use – compliance with PN‑EN 15874 standard.
- Low noise level of the flowing medium thanks to the smooth inner surface of the pipe.
