Brass reducing tee ultraPRESS – a leak-proof installation element
This brass reducing tee ultraPRESS is a key element in the KAN-therm system, designed to connect pipes of different diameters in water and heating installations. Made of high-quality brass (CW617N), it ensures durability and corrosion resistance. Its construction allows for quick and secure installation using pressing technology.
Construction and application
This tee connects pipes with diameters of 20 mm, 16 mm, and again 20 mm, allowing for diameter reduction within the installation. It is compatible with both multilayer and solid pipes, making it a universal solution for various types of installations. The use of stainless steel in the pressing ring guarantees its strength and resistance to damage during installation.
Safety and leak control
One of the most important features of this tee is the LBP (Leak Before Press) controlled leak function. This means that if the fitting is pressed incorrectly, a leak will appear immediately, allowing for quick identification and repair of the error. This is important for installers, as it minimizes the risk of hidden leaks, which can lead to serious problems in the future. Additionally, the presence of an EPDM O-ring seal ensures a leak-proof connection for a long time. The diameter identification ring facilitates quick identification of the fitting size during installation – please note that tees with diameters of 50 and 63 mm do not have an identification ring.
The ultraPRESS tee is available in U and TH clamping profiles, allowing it to be adapted to the specific type of pipe and installation method. This flexibility is appreciated by both professional installers and end users.
