PP-R reduction socket - 50/32 1209220000

Pipe diameter reduction in PP-R installations

PP-R threaded reducing socket with diameters of 50/32 mm is a key element of the KAN-therm system, designed to connect pipes of different diameters in water supply, heating and technological installations. Made of high-quality random polypropylene (PP-R), it ensures a durable and tight fusion-welded connection. This fitting is indispensable when adapting installation elements to existing infrastructure or when it is necessary to change the pipe diameter at a specific point.

Construction and application

The reducing socket has threads allowing connection to pipes of different diameters – 50 mm and 32 mm. Its construction allows for direct fusion welding into the fitting socket from the larger diameter side, and the smaller diameter is intended for direct connection to the pipe. This makes the installation process quick and efficient, and the connection is characterized by high mechanical strength and tightness. The fitting is used in cold water (up to 20 bar), hot water (up to 10 bar) and central heating (up to 6 bar) installations, with a maximum operating temperature of up to 90°C. It is compatible with the KAN-therm PP system, but can also be used in other systems using fusion welding.

Advantages for the installer and user

  • Durability and reliability: Made of high-quality statistical copolymer polypropylene PP-R (type 3), it guarantees long-term operation without the risk of corrosion or mechanical damage.
  • Tight connection: Fusion welding technology ensures a uniform and tight connection, eliminating the risk of leaks.
  • Chemical resistance: The material is resistant to many chemicals, allowing the fitting to be used in various industrial and commercial environments.
  • Versatility: The possibility of use in potable water, heating and technological installations increases its scope of application.
  • Quick installation: Fusion welding is a quick and easy connection method that reduces investment time.
  • Certificates and standards: The product meets the requirements of PN‑EN 15874 and has CSTB, ITB, Lloyds and PZH certificates, confirming its high quality and safety of use.
  • Warranty: The manufacturer offers a 10-year warranty (15 years for individual construction), which demonstrates his confidence in the product.
  • Hygiene: The material is microbiologically and physiologically inert, making it safe for drinking water installations.
