Floor drainage in bathrooms and sanitary rooms

The Classic drain is designed for point drainage of floors inside buildings - it is ideal for bathrooms, toilets, and other areas requiring effective water removal. The model with lateral horizontal outlet and nominal size DN50 is installed flush with the floor, creating an aesthetic and functional drainage solution.

The ABS plastic body ensures structural durability and corrosion resistance. Included is a telescopic sleeve with height adjustment in the range of 25-65 mm, which significantly facilitates adjusting the drain to various floor layer thicknesses without the need to cut components.

Water trap and tightness

The built-in water trap with a water seal height of 50 mm effectively blocks unpleasant odors from the sewage system from entering the room. Importantly - the trap is removable, allowing for easy cleaning and maintenance without dismantling the entire drain. The Lock&Lift mechanism serves both to lock and remove the trap insert.

The lip seal is securely mounted on the body - the sealing system cannot be forgotten or accidentally displaced during installation. This is a vital feature for installers who must ensure connection tightness from the very first startup.

A flow rate of 0.8 l/s (at 20 mm surcharge) allows for efficient water removal even during intensive shower use.

Installation and flooring mounting

The V2A stainless steel cover (grade 14301) has a thickness of 4 mm and a diameter of 141 mm - the massive round slot grate not only looks good but also provides stability under load. The drain meets the requirements of load class K3, which means a maximum load of up to 1 ton - making it suitable for use in domestic and public utility rooms.

The cover is secured using two Allen screws, whose sockets are recessed below the grate surface. This solution serves a dual purpose: it protects against cover theft and eliminates the risk of a bare foot being cut by protruding elements.

The variant dedicated to PVC flooring allows for mounting the floor using 6 screws distributed around the drain - the flooring is stably immobilized and does not curl at the drain edge.

Modular system System 100

The drain belongs to the System 100 modular family, which means it can be expanded with additional accessories - e.g., Multistop protection against odors, foam, and insects. If only the trap or the cover needs to be replaced, there is no need to interfere with the sealing layer or replace the entire body - simply select a compatible element from the KESSEL range.
