The check valve with Pumpfix F Komfort DN150 pump does not run continuously. It consumes no energy when there’s no need. Its key advantage? It leverages the natural gravity drop of the sewer network — normal flow proceeds freely through the open pipe cross-section. Only when reverse flow begins (i.e., when wastewater tries to flow back into the building) does the motor-driven sluice gate automatically close, and the pump briefly activates to pump the excess to a higher level.

This is not just a pump. It’s a protective system that acts like the installation’s “memory”: it remembers when to activate and does nothing more. That’s why it’s quiet. That’s why it saves energy. And that’s why it requires no constant supervision.

What happens when conditions change?

When the wastewater level in the sewer pipe rises above the building’s connection level — for example, during heavy rain, network failure, or sewer overload — the valve automatically closes. At this point, drainage does not stop: the integrated grinding pump activates and pumps the contents through a pipe to a higher point — up to 10 meters in height. The grinder handles solid waste, including fecal matter, without clogging or blockages.

No manual activation is required. No monitoring is needed. No daily inspections are necessary. The optical sensor responds to liquid level and activates the pump only when absolutely necessary — then shuts it off immediately after completing the task.

Installation and operation — simple for the installer, safe for the user

The unit is delivered ready for final on-site installation: the pump and sensor require only electrical connection, while the entire assembly is pre-assembled and tested. The included power cord with plug (5 m) simplifies connection to a 230 V network — no specialized wiring or distribution box is required.

The IP54 protection rating for the control unit ensures resistance to dust and water jets — installation in a dry indoor space (e.g., stairwell, basement) is sufficient. The device dimensions are 656 x 350 x 422 mm — it fits even in confined spaces behind walls or under floors.

The pump operates in S3 50% mode (1 minute on / 1 minute off), ensuring long service life under cyclic loads typical of anti-flooding systems. Power consumption is 1.2 kW — barely more than a standard washing machine.

There is no need to install it outdoors. No need to connect it to WLAN or Bluetooth — this is a purely mechanical device, not a digital one. Its strength lies in simplicity: no wireless communication = no failure points = greater reliability.

All of this operates continuously for years — thanks to a robust construction featuring synthetic materials and stainless steel drive components.
