Floor boxes of the SF series – a solid solution for modern installations

The SF series floor boxes from Kontakt-Simon are an ideal solution for creating access points for media in office, commercial and public spaces. Designed for easy installation and user convenience, they are an integral part of modern electrical and telecommunications installations. Available in graphite color (graphite gray), they blend perfectly with various interior designs.

Construction and installation

The box with a depth of 93mm is designed for mounting 6 K45 modules (45x45 mm) and is additionally equipped with a 2-fold SM302/9 module. The adjustable depth of the box allows it to be adapted to the floor height and ensures compatibility with various types of plugs and cables. The box has perforated holes in the bottom, making it easier to introduce pipes and cables, as well as wide cable entries for simple cable routing. This ensures a smooth and trouble-free installation. Additionally, the box has positioning and mounting brackets, which facilitate its stable installation in a raised floor or cast floor (after using the appropriate cassette).

Safety and durability

Made of halogen-free, self-extinguishing plastics, the SF box guarantees the safety of people and equipment. It has a protection class of IP40, which means protection against the ingress of solid objects larger than 1mm. Inside the box there is a protective foam that protects against dust and small objects. A metal separating partition provides electromagnetic protection for telecommunications and multimedia circuits – crucial in environments requiring stable data transmission. The cable duct lock protects the cables from accidental damage during operation.

Functionality for professionals and end users

SF boxes allow finishing the surface around the box with flooring material up to 5 mm thick, which provides an aesthetic look of the installation. Finishing covers for thicker flooring materials are also available. The two-point cover closure prevents accidental opening, and an optional version with a triangular key lock is available for increased security.
