Installation is done using claws or screws – the choice of method depends on the installer's preferences and the substrate. Wire-piercing terminals facilitate and speed up the connection process.

The socket has an IP20 protection rating – it is protected against touching with a finger and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.
