The seal is designed for use with Simon 54 Premium frames, allowing you to achieve an IP44 protection rating. This means that the installation is protected against the ingress of tools and wires with a diameter greater than 1 mm and against splashing water from any direction. This is particularly important in rooms with high humidity, where standard accessories may be damaged.

It is worth remembering that to obtain full IP44 protection in the case of multi-gang frames, it is necessary to use dedicated seal sets CU2, CU3 or CU4 (available separately). For double-key switches, it is also recommended to use sealing insert CU1W.
