Key-operated switch – reliable lighting and device control
This single-pole key-operated switch from the Simon 54 series is a modular element of electrical installation, designed for convenient and safe switching on and off of lighting or other electrical devices. Equipped with a normally open (N/O) contact and a rated current of 5 A at 250 V, it ensures reliable operation in standard installations. The ability to remove the key in any position – both on and off – increases functionality and safety.
Installation and application
The switch is designed for flush mounting, providing an aesthetic look of the installation. Its universal design with a base element and a central cover plate makes it perfectly suited to most interiors. The cream color finish (RAL 1015) blends into the surroundings, and the glossy surface adds elegance. The mounting depth of 31 mm allows for easy installation even in shallow installation boxes.
Comfort and safety in every detail
The Simon 54 series is distinguished by a well-thought-out design that simplifies installation and ensures long-term reliability. The new bridge with spirit level supports allows for precise adjustment of the mechanism, and the metal mount presses the frame to the bridge, hiding any imperfections in the installation of the installation boxes. The compact size of the mechanism saves space in the box, and the base protrusions help maintain the vertical or horizontal alignment of multiple sets. In addition, special holes allow for mounting without boxes – e.g. directly to a wooden surface. The plastic used with refining additives guarantees color durability and resistance to damage. The recess on the body defines the optimal length of wire stripping, and the busbar cover minimizes the risk of electric shock after removing the socket covers.
