Robust protection for cables and wires – steel conduit

This threaded PG-16 steel conduit is a solid solution for the mechanical protection of cables and wires in various installations. Made of rolled steel, coated with varnish, it provides durability and resistance to mechanical damage. Its versatility makes it suitable for both internal and external installations, as well as in industrial environments.

The conduit is particularly recommended for applications requiring high mechanical strength – the compressive strength class according to EN 61386-1 is Heavy (Class 4). This ensures excellent protection of cables against damage during installation or operation. The black varnish not only protects against corrosion but also provides an aesthetic appearance.

Features and applications

The conduit with an outer diameter of 22.5 mm and an inner diameter of 20.3 mm is designed for installation in concrete, wood and hollow walls. The possibility of flush and surface mounting increases its versatility. It will be useful in machine and equipment installations, as well as in external installations. A wide operating temperature range from -60°C to +250°C allows its use in harsh environmental conditions.

It is important to remember the limitations regarding fire protection systems – a maximum of one cable in the conduit ensures functionality in the event of a fire (detailed information can be found in the Fire-resistant Systems catalog). The conduit is supplied with a PG-16 thread, which facilitates its connection to other installation elements. Terminating the conduit with a coupling ensures a tight connection.
