Steel electrical conduit – reliable cable protection
Steel conduit 6236 ZN F is a solid solution for mechanical protection of cables and wires in electrical installations. Made of rolled steel with hot-dip galvanized surface, it provides high resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage. It is an essential element both in construction, industrial plants, and home installations.
The conduit is designed for surface mounting and in hollow walls, as well as for outdoor applications and in machine and equipment installations. Its rigid construction guarantees stability and safety of cable routing. Thanks to the C4 (heavy) compression resistance class, it will perform well even in demanding conditions.
Characteristics and application
Conduit 6236 ZN F is characterized by an outer diameter of 47 mm and an inner diameter of 44 mm. The operating temperature range from -60°C to 250°C allows its use in a wide range of environmental conditions. The mechanical strength of the conduit ensures safe cable routing, protecting them from damage during installation and operation.
- Versatility: ideal for installations inside buildings, outdoors, and in harsh industrial environments.
- Durability: hot-dip galvanizing protects against corrosion, providing long-lasting protection for the installation.
- Safety: high mechanical resistance protects cables from damage.
- Easy installation: can be connected using conduit fittings (additional elements required).
- Compliance with standards: meets the requirements of EN 61386-1 standard (compression resistance class C4).
Steel conduit 6236 ZN F is particularly recommended for:
- Electrical installations in residential and industrial buildings
- Routing power cables for machines and equipment
- Securing cables in outdoor installations
- Installation in places exposed to mechanical damage or corrosion
- Installations in difficult temperature conditions (from -60°C to +250°C)
Additional information for professionals
The conduit is made of rolled steel, which ensures its appropriate mechanical strength (1250 N/5cm). Galvanic zinc coating further increases corrosion resistance. It is worth remembering that when using special fittings (e.g. 4813/P - 4842/P and 4913 - 4942) the operating temperature range may be limited to -5°C +60°C – this should be taken into account when designing the installation. The conduit is supplied without thread, which requires the use of appropriate connectors for connections.
