Bridge and railway cast iron drain – reliable water drainage from transport engineering facilities
The OMK2-150 railway-bridge drain is a robust solution designed for effective water drainage from bridge structures, especially those used by rail traffic. The construction and materials guarantee long-lasting and trouble-free operation in demanding environmental conditions. It is a key element in the drainage system, ensuring the safety and durability of the structure.
Construction and application
This drain, made of cast iron (EN-GJL 200 according to PN-EN 1561:2012), is characterized by high resistance to loads, confirmed by the declared load-bearing capacity of 250 kN. It has a vertical, eccentric outlet with a diameter of 150 mm, which facilitates integration with the existing drainage infrastructure. Compliance with PN-EN 124-2 standard makes it ideal for installation in the axis of the tracks under the ballast layer, as well as in other transport engineering facilities exposed to rail vehicle traffic. The design is designed to minimize the risk of mechanical damage and corrosion.
Advantages and user properties
- Strength and durability: Made of high-quality cast iron, resistant to loads and corrosion.
- Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of PN-EN 124-2 standard, guaranteeing safety and reliability.
- Easy installation: Vertical eccentric outlet facilitates integration with existing drainage systems.
- Anti-corrosion protection: Provides long-term protection against the harmful effects of atmospheric factors and chemicals.
- Specialized application: Ideal for use in railway infrastructure where high resistance to dynamic loads is required.
- National Technical Assessment: Has a National Technical Assessment No. IBDiM KOT-2018/0190 - issue 1 “Cast iron manholes for bridge structures”, which confirms its quality and safety of use.
- Minimal deformation: Permanent deformation of the drain grate under a load equal to 2/3 of the test load is only 0.1 mm, which proves the high stability of the structure.
- No damage under full load: During tests under full test load of 125 kN, no cracks or fractures occurred on the surface of the drain body and grate.
The OMK2-150 drain is an investment in safe and efficient railway and road infrastructure – solid workmanship goes hand in hand with ease of installation and long life.
