The patch cord is made of CCA (copper clad aluminum) wires and has a PVC jacket. Its outer diameter is approximately 5.7 mm, and the wire gauge is 26AWG (7 x 0.16mm). This allows for a bandwidth of up to 10 Gb/s at a frequency of up to 250 MHz. The use of foil shielding (F/UTP) increases resistance to interference. The orange color (RAL1028) makes it easier to identify the cable in the installation.
