Construction and application

The patch cord is made of CCA (Copper-Clad Aluminium) wires and has a PVC coating, which ensures good flexibility and durability. Category 6 allows data transmission at speeds up to 10 Gb/s at frequencies up to 250 MHz – sufficient for most modern network applications. The outer diameter of the cable is 5.4 mm, and the wire gauge is 26 AWG (7 x 0.16 mm). The use of U/UTP cable (unshielded) reduces costs and simplifies installation in environments where electromagnetic interference is not a problem. The red color facilitates identification and organization of cables in rack cabinets or distribution points.
