Construction and properties
The patch cord uses S/FTP shielding – each pair of wires is wrapped in aluminum foil, and the whole is additionally protected with a braid. This solution effectively reduces electromagnetic (EMI) and radio frequency (RFI) interference, ensuring a clean signal. The wires are made of CCA (Copper Clad Aluminium) – copper coated with aluminum – allowing for lower production costs without significantly affecting transmission quality. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket minimizes the emission of toxic substances in the event of a fire, increasing the safety of the installation. The yellow color makes it easier to identify the cable in the network.
