Construction and application

This cable is intended for serial data transmission in EIB/KNX systems. Its construction is based on the J-Y(ST)Y type with solid copper conductors with a diameter of 0.8 mm. Four conductors are twisted into a so-called star quad, which provides better resistance to interference. Shielding with aluminum foil further minimizes the impact of external electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a green PVC (polyvinyl chloride) coating, ensuring durability and mechanical resistance.

The cable is used in smart building installations, enabling centralized control of various functions – from lighting and heating to blinds and alarm systems. It is a key element of modern home automation, providing comfort, safety and energy efficiency.
