Construction and properties
The cable is designed to operate in medium mechanical conditions, both in fixed and occasionally moving installations. It maintains flexibility even at low temperatures (down to -30°C), which is particularly important in harsh working conditions. The possibility of use in dry, humid and wet environments expands its range of applications. The outer PVC jacket provides resistance to acids, alkalis and limited resistance to oils. Additionally, the cable is suitable for twisting applications, e.g. in wind turbines.
Safety and compliance with standards
The safety of use is confirmed by a high test voltage (4000 V). The cable meets the requirements of EU Directive 305/2011 (BauPVO/CPR) regarding the classification of fire properties – information on the specific class can be found on the LAPP website. It also has the Eca marking (Euroclasses), which guarantees limited emission of smoke and toxic gases in the event of a fire. It is compliant with IEC/EN 60332-1-2 regarding flame retardancy and has low smoke emission according to EN 61034-2. Additionally, it is oil-resistant according to IEC 60811-404.
