Universal cable for data transmission in industrial environments

The UNITRONIC® Li2YCY PiMF cable is a flexible solution for transmitting control, regulating and measuring signals. It is suitable for both indoor installations and environments exposed to moisture. The shielded construction provides resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in industrial environments and computer systems.

This cable is particularly recommended for machine interfaces, measuring systems and anywhere where reliable transmission of low-frequency data is required. The cable's flexibility makes it easy to install and lay, even in places with limited space.

Construction and application

The UNITRONIC® Li2YCY PiMF cable features a construction with copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.22 mm², PVC insulation and shielding with an aluminum foil surrounded by a braid of copper wires. This construction provides effective protection against interference and mechanical damage. Twisted pairs minimize the influence of interference on the signal. A durable outer PVC jacket protects the cable from external factors.

The cable is used in control, regulating and measuring circuits, machine interfaces, computer systems and in low-frequency data transmission. It is designed for use in dry and humid environments, and its shielding ensures high EMC compatibility. Thanks to its flexibility, it simplifies installation even in tight spaces and is suitable for occasional movements – it is not a cable intended for continuous bending or pulling.

The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 7.7 mm, which should be taken into account when planning cable routes and determining bending radii. The minimum bending radius for mobile applications is 154 mm, and for fixed applications – 77 mm. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C after installation and from -5°C to +70°C during installation and handling, ensuring the preservation of the cable's insulating and mechanical properties.
