Multi-passage solution for cable glands
This advanced sealing insert is an innovative solution for installers working with SKINTOP® cable glands. It replaces the standard internal seal with a multi-hole design, allowing several conductors to be routed through a single connection.
Design and materials
Made of high-quality nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), which provides excellent oil resistance and a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +100°C. The material is characterized by high flexibility, which translates into gentle yet effective conductor clamping.
The design includes two holes with a diameter of 6mm each, arranged in a compact size of 20.8mm x 9.5mm. This configuration allows for optimal space utilization while maintaining high sealing integrity.
Advantages of the multi-passage system
Increased packing density is the main benefit of this solution. Instead of using several separate glands, one insert enables the routing of two conductors simultaneously, leading to reduced component dimensions and simplified installation.
Gentle conductor clamping results from the flexible properties of the NBR material, which conforms to the cable surfaces without the risk of damage. At the same time, it maintains excellent sealing properties.
Versatility of applications
The product is designed to work with metric SKINTOP® and SKINTOP® CLICK cable glands, making it a universal solution for various types of installations. It performs well in both indoor and outdoor applications.
The IP54 protection class is standard; however, by fully occupying all holes with conductors of the nominal diameter and closing unused holes with SKINTOP® DIX-DV plugs, an IP68 protection class can be achieved.
