The ÖLFLEX® TRAIN 340 600V cable is a high-quality control cable specifically designed for use in rail vehicles. It meets the requirements of EN 50264-3-2 type MM, guaranteeing its reliability and safety in harsh operating conditions. This cable is ideal for both fixed installations and where there is limited cable mobility.

Application and structural features

The ÖLFLEX® TRAIN 340 cable is widely used in rail vehicles, e.g., for connecting lighting, heating devices, electrical distribution boards, and terminal boxes. Its ability to be used in oily environments and areas with elevated ambient temperatures makes it a versatile solution for installers and end-users. Made from high-quality materials, it ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

The cable is characterized by its resistance to UV radiation, which is particularly important in outdoor applications. Additionally, it exhibits high resistance to oils, lubricants, and chemicals – increasing its durability and minimizing the risk of damage. The cable construction also provides resistance to mechanical damage occurring in harsh industrial conditions.

Safety and compliance with standards

ÖLFLEX® TRAIN 340 meets stringent fire safety standards, including EN 60754-1 (halogen-free) and EN 60754-2 (no corrosive gases). It also has certificates of conformity with EN 45545-2 (HL1, HL2, HL3 levels), confirming its suitability for railway applications requiring a high level of fire protection. The rated voltage of the cable is 0.6/1 kV (~), and the test voltage is 3.5 kV AC or 8.4 kV DC. A version with a protective conductor (G) or without it (X) is available. The operating temperature range for fixed installation is from -45°C to +120°C (for 20,000 hours of operation), and even down to -50°C according to GOST 20.57.406-81.
