Application and mounting

The PG7 locknut is an essential component for mounting SKINTOP® and SKINDICHT® cable glands inside enclosures. It is particularly effective for thin-walled, threadless enclosures where only a single through-hole can be made.

This element enables effective counter-locking of the cable gland from the internal side of the application, ensuring a stable connection and optimal mechanical strain relief of the cable. Due to its design, it is ideally suited for installation in electrical device enclosures, switchgear, and control cabinets.

Material and structural properties

Made of high-quality nickel-plated brass, which provides excellent corrosion resistance and durability. The material is halogen-free, making it environmentally friendly and compliant with modern regulatory standards.

The hexagonal design with a 16.6 mm width across flats facilitates installation using standard tools, and the precise 1.27 mm thread pitch guarantees secure tightening. The nickel-plated surface not only protects against corrosion but also ensures an aesthetic appearance of the component.
