The ÖLFLEX® FD 90 1G16 cable is a single-core flexible cable designed for operation under continuous bending and movement. It is perfect for applications where high mechanical and electrical resistance, as well as flexibility in difficult conditions, are required. It is an ideal solution for cabling machines and equipment, especially those equipped with frequency inverters.

Construction and application

This cable is characterized by a construction that provides exceptional flexibility, allowing it to be used in moving parts of machines, chain guides and in places with limited access. The outer jacket made of PVC provides resistance to oils, acids and alkalis, as well as the possibility of use outdoors (taking into account the temperature range). This makes the cable suitable for both fixed (e.g. in switchboards) and mobile installations. The possibility of use in damp and wet rooms further expands its range of applications.

Operating parameters

The ÖLFLEX® FD 90 1G16 cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of up to 0.6/1 kV. The permissible operating temperature for mobile connections is from -5°C to +90°C, while for fixed installations from -40°C to +90°C. The rated conductor cross-section is 16 mm². The C characteristic allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, therefore it tolerates the starting of devices with a motor well. It protects the circuit against overload and short circuit - like most circuit breakers in this class.
