UNITRONIC® SPIRAL 4x0.14/100 spiral cable is a reliable solution for signal and power transmission in demanding conditions. The construction with a polyurethane (PUR) jacket provides high mechanical and chemical resistance, as well as the flexibility necessary in dynamic applications. This cable is particularly recommended where standard cabling fails – in robotics systems, office machines, measuring devices or production lines.

Construction and properties

The UNITRONIC® SPIRAL cable is distinguished by its spiral construction, which allows for free stretching and adaptation to the needs of a specific installation. The length of the spiral when stretched is 400 mm, while in the compressed state it is 100 mm. Four cores with a cross-section of 0.14 mm² provide adequate current carrying capacity for many applications. The core insulation is made of PVC, and the outer jacket made of PUR guarantees durability and resistance to external factors. The black color makes it easier to identify and aesthetically pleasing installation.

Applications and benefits

This spiral cable works perfectly in environments exposed to oils, greases and other chemicals. It can be used both indoors and outdoors (taking into account the operating temperature range from -5°C to +50°C). Thanks to its flexibility, it is ideal for connecting moving parts of machines or devices. It is a universal cable for machine interfaces, control and regulation systems and data transmission in the low frequency range. Additionally, color-coded core identification makes installation and servicing easier. The rated voltage of 50V makes it safe in typical industrial automation applications.
