Spiral cable for industrial and automation applications

This UNITRONIC® SPIRAL spiral cable is a flexible solution for transmitting signals and power in demanding conditions. The construction with five conductors with a cross-section of 0.14 mm² provides adequate performance in applications such as control systems, measuring devices or office machines. The spiral design allows for convenient cable routing in spaces with limited access and provides a high degree of freedom of movement.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by high mechanical resistance thanks to the use of a polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket. PUR is also resistant to mineral oils and many chemicals, making it an ideal choice for industrial environments. Cable shielding minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission. Conductor insulation made of PVC guarantees safe use. Color-coded conductors facilitate assembly and servicing.

The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -5°C to +50°C, both in dry and humid conditions. The possibility of outdoor use (taking into account the temperature range) expands the scope of its applications. The length of the spiral when stretched is 2000 mm, while the length of the spiral in the unstretched state is 500 mm – this feature makes it easier to adapt to specific installation needs. The rated voltage U0/U is 50 V.
