Multi-standard single-core conductor for industrial installations

A single-core installation conductor designed for permanent installation in switchboards, control cabinets, and internal machine connections. The construction based on a class 5 multi-wire tinned copper conductor ensures good flexibility while maintaining connection durability - the conductor consists of fine twisted strands, which facilitates both installation and potential rewiring in tight spaces.

A cross-section of 0,75 mm² with an outer diameter of 2,7 mm allows for routing multiple cable paths even in crowded trays and conduits.

The manufacturer offers a full range of insulation colors - from basic (black, brown, blue) to specialized (purple, pink, orange) - which facilitates systematic circuit marking according to installation conventions.

Construction and materials

The conductor is made of tinned copper - surface tinning improves solderability and protects the copper from corrosion in humid environments. The base insulation is polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which provides sufficient dielectric strength at a rated voltage of 450/750 V.

The bending radius for fixed installation is 4 × outer diameter (minimum 10.8 mm), and with careful bending, it can be reduced to 2 × diameter - this is important when routing the cable through sharp hole edges or around device housings.

Operating parameters and fire resistance

The operating temperature depends on the applicable standard: according to EN, it ranges from -40°C to +70°C, while UL AWM and CSA TEW approvals allow operation up to +105°C, and UL MTW up to +90°C.

The conductor meets the requirements for flame retardancy according to IEC 60332-1-2, UL VW1, and CSA FT1 - meaning that in the event of a short circuit, the flame will not spread along the insulation.

Reaction to fire according to CPR is classified as Eca - a basic class for public utility buildings. This is not a halogen-free or low-smoke construction; in fire conditions, the PVC insulation will emit decomposition products typical for this material.

Applications and multi-standard approvals

The main purpose is the construction of switchboards and control cabinets, where connection reliability and clear color coding are essential. The conductor meets the requirements of several international standards:

• UL MTW / AWM Style 1015/1063 - American approval for machine wiring,
• CSA TEW - Canadian approval for temperature-rated conductors,
• confirmed standards: CSA FT1.

As a result, a single product can be used in European, American, and Canadian markets without the need to select separate cables - this reduces technical documentation costs and simplifies warehousing.

One roll contains 100 m of cable wound on a ring. For larger projects, bulk carton versions are also available (up to 2500 m for this cross-section).
