Universal busbar for modular devices

The BIS1-16-57 busbar is a professional solution for powering modular devices in electrical installations. Thanks to its pin connection and insulated design, it ensures a safe and reliable connection in switchboards.

Electrical parameters and load capacities

The device operates with a rated continuous current of 63A at a maximum operating voltage of 400V. The busbar withstands a rated short-time withstand current of 1.92 kA and a rated making short-circuit current of 0.63 kA, guaranteeing safe operation even in the event of a fault.

A rated impulse voltage of 2kV protects the installation against atmospheric and switching surges. The busbar is adapted for use with devices equipped with a neutral conductor (N), enabling the creation of complete single-phase circuits.

Construction and dimensions

The busbar has a length of 1008mm, which corresponds to 57 modules with a width of 17.7mm each. It is made of a conductor with a cross-section of 16mm², ensuring optimal conductivity while maintaining compact dimensions.

The single-pole (1P) design allows for powering a maximum of 57 modular devices. The busbar can be cut to size, allowing for a perfect fit to a specific switchboard without material waste.

Operating conditions and environment

The product operates in temperatures from -20°C to +50°C, and storage is possible in the range of -40°C to +70°C. The insulation provides additional protection against accidental contact and galvanic isolation between individual power points.

The universal design allows for installation in both new installations and modernizations of existing switchboards. The busbar is part of the HX³/VX³ LEGRAND system, guaranteeing full compatibility with the remaining components of the electrical installation.
