The LEGRAND comb busbar is a professional component of modular distribution board systems, designed for efficient power supply to electrical devices in single-phase installations. The two-pole BIS2-2P-56 design with a length of 1 meter and a capacity of 28 modules allows for the connection of up to 28 modular devices, making it an ideal solution for extensive electrical installations.

Construction and technical parameters

The busbar is made of high-quality conductive materials with a cross-section of 16mm², guaranteeing optimal conductivity for currents up to 80A. The horizontal plug-in design ensures stable electrical connections via the screw terminals of the modular devices. The standard pitch between modules is 17.8mm, which complies with European standards for modular distribution boards.

Electrical parameters include a maximum operating voltage of 400V, a rated impulse withstand voltage of 2kV, and a short-circuit strength of 1.2kA. The busbar is fully insulated and features a classic grey color, facilitating identification within installations.

Mounting flexibility and space savings

One of the key features is the ability to be cut to size, allowing for precise adjustment to a specific distribution board configuration without functional loss. Thanks to its compact design with a height of 29.5mm, the busbar provides significant space savings in the distribution board, while simultaneously allowing for maximum utilization of the available mounting space.

The two-pole construction (2P) provides simultaneous power supply to two current paths, increasing installation safety and enabling more flexible electrical load management.

Compliance and operating conditions

The product meets the requirements of European standards regarding electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility. The busbar is adapted for operation in temperatures from -20°C to +50°C and can be stored in the range from -40°C to +70°C.

The device is compatible with devices equipped with a neutral conductor (N), but does not support devices with auxiliary contacts. The rated conditional short-circuit current is 0.63kA, ensuring adequate protection against the effects of potential short circuits in the installation.
