Three-phase busbar for modular distribution boards

The BIS3-3P-57 comb busbar is a professional solution for electrical power distribution in three-phase installations. Specifically designed for modular distribution boards with a width of 19 modules, it enables the safe and efficient connection of up to 19 devices while maintaining full compatibility with three-phase systems.

Construction and electrical parameters

The busbar is constructed as a horizontal comb busbar with a length of 1 meter and a conductor cross-section of 16 mm², ensuring optimal electrical conductivity at a continuous load of 80A. The design accounts for standard contact spacing of 17,8 mm, guaranteeing a perfect fit for typical modular devices mounted on a DIN rail.

The three-pole (3P) system supports three-phase installations with an operating voltage of up to 400V, while simultaneously providing high surge resistance thanks to a rated impulse voltage of 2kV. The busbar features full insulation in grey, eliminating the risk of electric shock during installation and operation.

Safety and compatibility

The device has been designed with maximum operational safety in mind. A rated conditional short-circuit current of 0,63kA and a rated short-time withstand current of 1,2kA guarantee effective protection against the effects of potential short circuits in the installation.

The busbar is dedicated to systems without a neutral (N) conductor and without devices featuring auxiliary contacts, which simplifies installation configuration and minimizes potential sources of problems. An operating temperature range of from -20°C to +50°C and a storage temperature from -40°C to +70°C ensure reliability in various environmental conditions.

Installation and adaptation

One of the key features of the product is the ability to be cut to any dimension, allowing for precise fitting to a specific distribution board or set of devices. The width expressed by the number of modules (19) enables easy planning of device layout in a standard modular distribution board.

Busbar installation is intuitive - the horizontal mounting allows for the rapid connection of multiple devices simultaneously, significantly accelerating the electrical installation process.
