This two-pole residual current circuit breaker P 312 from the DX³ series combines the functions of an overcurrent and residual current device. This comprehensive solution provides protection against the effects of overloads and short circuits, as well as safeguarding against electric shock. Integrating both functions into a single device saves valuable space in the distribution board.

Safety and reliability in every circuit

Equipped with a test button, the breaker allows for regular verification of its proper operation. The rated residual current of 30 mA ensures rapid response upon detection of earth leakage, minimizing the risk of electric shock. The B characteristic guarantees that the device will not trip unnecessarily during brief current surges, such as when starting motors, while still effectively responding to overloads. The short-circuit capacity of up to 6 kA ensures protection of the installation even in the event of severe faults.

Easy installation and compatibility

The P 312 breaker, with a width of 2 modules, is easy to mount on a standard TH35 rail. The ability to connect conductors using comb or pin busbars increases installation flexibility. The device is compatible with the HX³ Optimal Power Distribution system, enabling wireless connection to the electrical installation, and works with a wide range of Legrand DX³ auxiliary accessories, such as auxiliary and signaling contacts, as well as overcurrent and overvoltage trip units. The cross-section for single-core connected conductors is 0.75–16 mm², and for multi-core conductors 0.75–10 mm². Additionally, it features a lock that prevents accidental re-energizing after a fault-induced shutdown.
