This 2P residual current device (RCD) with a rated current of 40A and sensitivity of 100mA, series TX3, is a critical component ensuring the safety of people and equipment. Functionality and Installation

The device is designed for DIN rail mounting, simplifying installation and replacement. Its compact dimensions (2 modules wide, 44 mm deep) allow efficient use of space in the distribution board. It features a lockout mechanism that prevents accidental opening of the circuit during maintenance or repair. The acceptable cable cross-sections are 0.75 to 50 mm² for single-core cables and 0.75 to 35 mm² for multi-core cables, offering great flexibility in conductor selection. A built-in test button enables regular verification of the device’s proper operation.

The RCD exhibits high impulse current resistance (0.25 kA) and a short-circuit capacity of up to 10 kA, ensuring reliable performance even under demanding operating conditions. Classified as Type A, it is designed to detect both AC and pulsating DC residual currents at 50 Hz. The rated impulse voltage withstand is up to 4 kV.
