Residual current device P 302 2P 40 A 100 mA Type A TX3 series 411565
Safety and Protection in Your Electrical Installation
This 2P residual current device (RCD) with a rated current of 40A and sensitivity of 100mA, series TX3, is a critical component ensuring the safety of people and equipment. It provides both shock protection and fire prevention by detecting dangerous leakage currents. This is especially important in installations where there is a risk of electric contact or where high reliability of protection is required.
Functionality and Installation
The device is designed for DIN rail mounting, simplifying installation and replacement. Its compact dimensions (2 modules wide, 44 mm deep) allow efficient use of space in the distribution board. It features a lockout mechanism that prevents accidental opening of the circuit during maintenance or repair. The acceptable cable cross-sections are 0.75 to 50 mm² for single-core cables and 0.75 to 35 mm² for multi-core cables, offering great flexibility in conductor selection. A built-in test button enables regular verification of the device’s proper operation.
Characteristics and Applications
The RCD exhibits high impulse current resistance (0.25 kA) and a short-circuit capacity of up to 10 kA, ensuring reliable performance even under demanding operating conditions. Its design supports integration with auxiliary devices such as auxiliary contacts or overcurrent trip units, enabling expansion of the protection system’s functionality. Classified as Type A, it is designed to detect both AC and pulsating DC residual currents at 50 Hz. It is suitable for operation in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 60°C and features an IP20 protection rating, providing protection against finger contact and solid objects larger than 12 mm. The rated impulse voltage withstand is up to 4 kV.
