Residual current device P 304 4P 40 A 500 mA Type A DX3 series 411790
Safety and Protection in Your Electrical Installation
This four-pole residual current device (RCD) from the DX³ series is a critical component ensuring safety in electrical installations. It provides protection against electric shock and reduces the risk of fires caused by insulation damage or short circuits. With a rated current of 40A and a sensitivity of 500mA, it is an ideal solution for a wide range of applications in both residential and commercial buildings.
Functionality and Compatibility
The P 304 circuit breaker features high reliability and easy DIN-rail mounting. Its 4-module width allows efficient use of space in the distribution board. It is compatible with the HX³ Optimal Power Distribution System up to 125A, enabling wireless connection to the electrical system—significantly speeding up and simplifying installation work. Additionally, the option to equip it with DX³ series accessories (auxiliary contacts, trip units) allows customization of functionality to meet specific installation requirements.
Design and Technical Specifications
The circuit breaker has been designed for durability and resistance to environmental conditions. The IP20-rated enclosure protects against accidental contact, while the wide operating temperature range (-25°C to 60°C) ensures reliable performance even under harsh conditions. A short-circuit withstand rating of 10 kA and impulse current resistance of 0.25 kA confirm its robustness and ability to protect installations during fault conditions. The rated insulation voltage Ui is 500V, and the rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 4 kV. The mechanical lock provides additional safety during maintenance and repair. Wire cross-sections can be selected from 0.75 mm² to 50 mm² for single-core conductors and from 0.75 mm² to 35 mm² for multi-core conductors.
