Computer socket for flush-mounted and surface-mounted installation

This 2xRJ45 Cat 5E UTP socket in white from the Legrand Suno series is a practical solution for creating computer networks in homes, offices and other spaces. Designed for flush mounting, but thanks to its universal mounting method, it can also be surface mounted. It allows you to connect two Cat 5e twisted pair cables, enabling data transmission at a standard speed of 1000 Mb/s.

The socket is made of high-quality plastic and features a solid construction. The white color (RAL 9003) provides an aesthetic look and easy integration into various interior designs. Importantly, all elements of the Suno series are mass-colored, which guarantees color durability and abrasion resistance.

Functionality and installation

The socket has two RJ45 ports type 8(8), allowing you to connect two network devices simultaneously. The connection type used – IDC knife-disconnect terminal – simplifies and speeds up the installation process. The angled cable outlet direction provides convenient cable routing. Thanks to its compact dimensions (72.9 mm width, 72.9 mm height and 42.4 mm depth), the socket easily integrates with existing electrical infrastructure.

It is worth remembering that the socket is a basic element with a central protective plate and requires a frame (available separately) for full functionality and aesthetic finishing. The Suno series is compatible only with elements from the same series – mixing products from different lines is not possible.

Safety and compliance

The socket has a protection degree of IP20, which means protection against touching foreign objects with a diameter of more than 12.5 mm. It does not have dust protection or shielding, which is typical for solutions designed for less demanding applications. It meets safety standards and is made of halogen-free materials, which reduces the emission of toxic substances in the event of a fire.
