Functionality and Capabilities
The iS7 series offers a wide range of rated power, from 0.75 kW to 375 kW, allowing the device to be adapted to diverse needs. An intuitive LCD keyboard with a clear display in Polish simplifies configuration and operation. The ability to read up to four parameters online provides full control over drive operation. The drive supports both constant and variable torque modes, as well as encoder feedback control. A rich offer of external I/O cards and PLC cards allows for expanding functionality and adapting to specific application requirements. The Easy Start-up function simplifies the start-up and configuration process.
Construction and Reliability
The iS7 drives are characterized by a solid construction and high quality workmanship. The integrated EMC input filter (compliant with IEC/EN 61800-3, environment 1) minimizes electromagnetic interference. The built-in DC choke reduces THD (Total Harmonic Distortion), improving power quality. Double-coated printed circuit boards ensure stable operation even in harsh environmental conditions. Oversized power modules (IGBT) and capacitors guarantee resistance to high overloads – up to 150% of rated current for 60 seconds and 200% for 3 seconds. A built-in braking module (up to 22 kW) is also included as standard.
Control Modes and Communication
The drive offers four control modes: scalar U/f (with slip compensation), U/f closed-loop control, open-loop vector control, and sensor vector control. Additionally, it is possible to switch between torque and speed control using a digital signal. Communication is via a built-in Modbus RTU (RS-485) interface, and optional communication cards are available: RAPIEnet+, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, CANopen, Profibus-DP, PROFINET, CC-LINK, and CC-LINK IE.
