The LS Electric S100 series inverter LV0008S100-4EOFNS is a professional frequency converter designed for applications requiring precise motor control. The device offers a rated power of 0.75 kW in Heavy Duty mode and 1.5 kW in Normal Duty mode, making it an ideal solution for a wide spectrum of industrial applications.

Electrical parameters and performance

The inverter operates with a supply voltage of 3 x 380-480V AC and provides an output of 3 x 380-480V AC at a current of 2.5A (HD) or 3.1A (ND). The output frequency range of 0-400 Hz enables precise regulation of the motor's rotational speed. The device is characterized by a rated capacity of 1.9 kVA (HD) and 2.4 kVA (ND), which guarantees stable operation even at limit loads.

The system offers advanced control methods including V/F control, slip compensation, and sensorless vector control. Additionally, PM sensorless control is available for synchronous motors. A starting torque of 200% at 0.5 Hz ensures high application flexibility.

Construction and operating environment

The compact design with dimensions of 68 x 180 x 130 mm (Frame A) and a weight of 1.18 kg allows for "side by side" mounting, which significantly saves space in control cabinets. The standard protection rating is IP20, with an IP66 option available for power up to 22kW.

The device operates in an ambient temperature from -10°C to +50°C in Heavy Duty mode and from -10°C to +40°C in Normal Duty mode. Relative humidity can be a maximum of 95% RH non-condensing. The permissible installation altitude is 1000 m above sea level with an automatic reduction of voltage/output by 1% for every subsequent 100m of altitude.

Functionality and communication

The inverter is equipped with a range of advanced protection functions including overload protection (OCP/OPP), overvoltage/undervoltage (OVP/UVP), short circuit (SCP), overheating (OTP), and brown-out protection (BOP/Brown-Out Protection). The system features a redundant input circuit and a Safe Torque Off (STO) function to ensure personnel safety.

Communication is based on the Modbus RTU/LS INV 485 protocol as a factory standard. Optional communication modules are available for industrial networks such as PROFInet, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, or EtherNet/IP. The built-in EMC filter eliminates electromagnetic interference, meeting international EMC standards.

The device holds KC, CE, and UL/cUL certifications confirming compliance with international safety standards. The short-circuit classification is 100kA according to IEC 60439-1, which guarantees resistance to extreme fault conditions.
