Advanced industrial drive for precise motor control
The LS Electric G100 series Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) is a professional solution for applications requiring accurate control of three-phase electric motors. The device offers a power of 15 kW in Heavy Duty mode and 18.5 kW in Normal Duty (Light Duty) mode, providing output currents of 31A and 38A respectively.
Design and operating parameters
The drive is powered by 3×400V AC voltage and operates in a frequency range of 0÷400 Hz, enabling precise regulation of motor rotational speeds. The IP20 rated enclosure is designed compactly - dimensions of 290×180×173mm with a weight of 5.06 kg facilitate installation in control cabinets. The device operates stably in temperatures from -10°C to +50°C, and its design life is 27 years.
Sensorless vector control ensures high torque even at low rotational speeds and effective motor control throughout the entire operating range. The VFD is equipped with 5 digital inputs, 1 analog input, 2 relay outputs, and 1 analog output, allowing for flexible integration with automation systems.
Functionality and communication
Standardly, the device communicates via the Modbus RTU/RS485 protocol, and thanks to optional expansion cards, communication can be expanded with interfaces: CANopen, Profibus-DP, or EthernetIP/ModbusTCP. The built-in class C3 EMC filter meets the requirements of the EN61800-3 Cat.C3 directive, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility.
The device includes a built-in braking module allowing for the connection of a braking resistor with a power of 2400W and a resistance of 30Ω. Additionally, it is equipped with an LED keypad with a potentiometer for analog settings and an RJ45 port for connecting an external keypad.
Mounting and configuration
DIN rail mounting is possible for power up to 4kW, and under certain conditions, drives can be installed side-by-side. An additional convenience is compatibility with the SMART Copier device, which enables rapid transfer of configurations between VFDs without the need to connect power.
