This tool has been designed with gardening tasks in mind, where precision and mobility are key. Thanks to the use of a brushless DC (BLDC) motor and the LXT 18 V system, the chainsaw offers higher torque while maintaining a lower chain speed of 7.7 m/s. This configuration is not accidental – slower chain movement combined with greater downward force allows for effective cutting of harder materials without the risk of the tool "jamming," a common issue in cheaper models. The 30 cm (12 inch) guide bar is ideal for pruning branches, preparing firewood, or maintaining hedges, offering sufficient cutting power without unnecessary bulk.

Safety and comfort in challenging conditions

User safety is a priority here, confirmed by built-in protection systems. The chainsaw is equipped with an anti-kickback function and an electric brake that instantly stops the chain in the event of uncontrolled movement or device shutdown. It is worth noting the weather-resistant construction – the IPX4 (WetGuard) ingress protection rating allows for operation even during light rain or in environments with increased humidity and dust. For an installer, this means less dependence on weather conditions, while for a gardener, it enables quick task completion without waiting for ideal conditions. A vibration level of 5.4 m/s² (with a K factor of 1.5 m/s²) ensures comfortable operation over extended periods, reducing hand fatigue.

System compatibility and scope of delivery

The device is sold as a "body-only" version, meaning it does not include batteries or a charger – it requires compatible 18 V Li-ion cells from the LXT series. Please note that the tool is not compatible with the oldest G-type batteries (without electronics) and BL1815(N) and BL1820(B) models. It operates optimally with batteries ranging from 3 Ah to 6 Ah, allowing you to match runtime to the specific task. The set includes a complete starter kit for assembly:

• 30 cm chain guide bar (pitch 3/8", groove width 1.1 mm).
• Cutting chain matched to the guide bar.
• Cutting unit guard for safe transport and storage.
• Chain sharpening file with handle (diameter 4.5 mm).

The lubricating oil tank capacity is 150 ml, which is sufficient for standard cutting cycles without the need for frequent lubricant refills. The device dimensions are approximately 704 x 214 x 234 mm, and the body weight is approx. 2.9 kg (approx. 4.2–4.4 kg with an EPTA battery), making it one of the lighter solutions in its performance class. The device's maximum output power reaches approx. 610 W, equivalent to electric motors of this class.
